International Conference on Disaster Mitigation and Management

The International Conference on Disaster Mitigation and Management (ICDMM) present as forum that brings together leading researchers and professionals in the field of disaster mitigation and management. The 1st ICDMM was held from 30 September to 01 October 2021 organized by Universitas Andalas (UNAND), The Indonesian Disaster Expert Association (IABI), and The National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) in commemoration of the 30 September 2009 earthquake in West Sumatra.

It is our great pleasure to welcome you on the 3rd ICDMM that will take place from 29 – 30 September 2025 in Padang City, West Sumatra, Indonesia. In this series, the theme of ‘Getting Ready for Megathrust’ is addressed from a multidisciplinary perspective, encompassing 16 sub-themes. The more research results, experience and knowledge shared, the wider the network formed, and thus the more effective future disaster management will be.
